Sam Sakr is a songwriter, producer, artist, and course contributor whose work spans major pop collaborations, forward-thinking sound design, and a deeply personal solo project under the name Sakr.
As a writer and producer, Sam has worked with artists including Sarah Aarons, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Carly Rae Jepsen, and The Veronicas, building a career that moves between high-level songwriting, studio production, and detailed sonic experimentation. Now based in London, his work continues to bridge Australian and international music scenes.
Alongside this, his solo project Sakr explores a more intimate and exploratory world of modular synthesis, alt-electronic songwriting, and sound-led composition. Through that project, Sam has developed a voice that embraces texture, emotion, and the creative possibilities of unpredictability and happy accidents in the studio.
As a Liveschool graduate who later spent many years teaching with the school, Sam has contributed to students, the school’s creative culture, and approaches to songwriting, sound design, and electronic production that continue to inform the curriculum today.
