Begin is for people who want to learn music production properly — but aren’t ready to commit to a full course just yet.
You’ll take the first lesson from our Foundations / Produce Music pathway, learning the core workflows of music production in Ableton Live, followed by guided at-home exercises and personalised mentor feedback on your work.
Designed as a beginner music production class in Sydney or online, Begin helps you build real confidence — not just follow tutorials.
It’s a practical, low-risk way to experience Liveschool’s teaching, build confidence in Ableton Live, and see that yes — you really can do this.
Most students who take Begin go on to continue into Foundations or Produce Music
If you continue into Foundations or Produce Music, your BEGIN fee is credited toward your enrolment.
If you’re simply curious about trying music production for the first time, our Intro to Music Production may be a better starting point.
How Begin Works
Live Class
One 3.5-hour hands-on class in Ableton Live, taught in a small group of up to 10 students.
Guided Study
Around 3 hours of at-home study to help you consolidate what you learned in class through guided exercises and tutorial content.
Mentor Feedback
Complete a short music task after class and receive personalised feedback from a Liveschool mentor.
Pathway Forward
If you continue into Foundations or Produce Music, your BEGIN fee is credited toward your enrolment.
