Jack Hambling

Sydney producer and songwriter Jack Hambling, known as Bustlip, is the beatmaker and studio architect behind acclaimed indie-soul outfit Winston Surfshirt.

As Bustlip, Jack crafts atmospheric, sample-rich productions that fuse hip hop, soul, funk, and dream-pop — a sound that underpins Winston Surfshirt’s ARIA-nominated catalogue and has seen the band collaborate with artists such as Polographia, Cosmo’s Midnight, and Dope Lemon.

His songwriting and production credits span both fan favourites and deeper cuts, from Winston Surfshirt releases including “Turn Out The Light”, “Spend My Nights”, and “That Just Don’t Sit Right”, through to his own “For Real – Bustlip Remix”. As a trainer at Liveschool, Jack brings this real-world experience into the classroom — helping students develop their sound, workflow, and production identity.
