Mix and master your tracks to a professional, release-ready standard.
Mixing + Mastering is for producers who are already finishing tracks, but want them to sound clearer, more powerful, and more release-ready.
You’ll learn EQ, compression, gain staging, stereo imaging, spatial processing, and mastering for streaming platforms — then apply those techniques directly to your own music in Ableton Live.
Classes focus on practical mixing decisions, while mentor weeks help you refine your own mixes with personal guidance from experienced engineers and producers.

Who This Module Is For
This module is for producers who are already writing and arranging music, but want to close the gap between a rough mix and a release-ready track. You should be comfortable working in Ableton Live, have solid sound design skills, and ideally have two or more projects underway that are ready to mix.
If you’ve completed Liveschool’s Foundations and Sound Design modules (both included in Produce Music or Focus Series), you’re well prepared. If you’re coming from outside Liveschool, get in touch and we’ll help you assess the right starting point.

A laptop is useful, but if you only have a desktop, we can provide a laptop on-site.
We offer flexible options:
- Switch to an online session if you can’t attend in person.
- Access detailed study resources at home if you miss a session. Discounted one-to-one catch-up sessions are also available.
- If you miss the full module, you can join a waitlist to retake it later.
You can take Mixing + Mastering either as a stand-alone module or as part of Produce Music or the Focus Series. The core teaching and mentorship are the same either way.
Yes. All sessions are available live online — same trainers, same content, same mentorship. You can switch between in-studio and online at any time.
Everything is built around Ableton Live. You’ll also work with third-party plugins and studio hardware, but Ableton is the core platform throughout.
You’ll be able to mix your tracks with more clarity, balance, depth, and impact, then prepare masters that are ready for streaming release. Most students leave with a stronger critical listening process and a more reliable finishing workflow.
