2015 was such a huge year for everyone here at Liveschool – trainers and students included!

TRAINER: Elizabeth RoseReleased three singles – Another Earth (a collaboration with producer Chrome Sparks), Division and Shoulda Coulda Woulda(a collaboration with producer M-Phazes). Wrote and produced her debut album Intra, which is out March 4th through Inertia / MidnightFeatures, pre-order it here.
STUDENT: Drew Carmody (aka L D R U)Landed #22 on JJ’s hottest 100 list with his tune“Keeping Score (Feat. Paige IV)” released on the Future Classic label. Released the Realise EP with his duo Carmada(the other half of which is Yahtzel). Performed on JJJ’s like a version with Charlie XCX.
TRAINER: Simon CohenEngineer, Producer & Mixer Worked on releases for Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan, Tuka, Will.I.Am, JOY, White Shadows, Emma Pask, Will Sparks, Jess Kent & many more.
STUDENT: William Champion (aka World Champion)Signed to record label Future Classic & released the ‘Avocado Galaxy’ EP with collaborator Julian Sudek.
TRAINER: Michael Di Francesco (aka Touch Sensitive)Released original tunes ‘Slowments‘, ‘Teen Idols‘and ‘Arnold’s Theme‘ on the Future Classic record label. Toured Australia playing live bass for Flight Facilities and George Maple as well his own headline tours. Released two original tunes with new project Tear Council on Personal Best records.
STUDENT: James Saiib (aka JaySounds)Signed to Ministry of Sound (their youngest signing ever) and Soapbox booking agency. Released the tunes ‘Tyrant’ on Ministry of Sound& ‘You’ on Club Cartel records. Currently has DJ residency at Family (Brisbane), HQ (Adelaide), Pacha (Sydney) & Marquee (Sydney).
TRAINER: Joel Farland Musical Directed performances for Peking Duk (Aria Awards & X factor), Carmada feat. Charli XCX (Triple J’s Like a Version), Conrad Sewell (Aria Awards), JOY, Jess Kent, Cosmo’s Midnight, Nicole Millar and Hayden James. Toured the world playing drums for Broods. Produced and mixed tracks for E^st released on Warner Records as well as producing her Triple J Like a Version performance.
STUDENTS: Adam Dormand & James Kenneally (aka PINES)Released their first original tunes including ‘Fate’which was mixed with Liveschool trainer Yama Indra. ‘Fate’ peaked at #2 on Hype Machine & racked up 125,000 plays on Soundcloud so far as well as getting write ups withPilerats, Purple Sneakers, Acid Stag and others.
TRAINER: Yama Indra (aka GLOVES)Produced for Asta & Letters to Lions. Mixed PINES & Tyler Touche. Composed, produced and performed a 20 minute orchestral score with Sydney Youth Orchestra as the soundtrack to Macquarie Centre’s SS16 fashion show.
TRAINER: Mitch Kenny Mixed the ARIA award winning Hermitudealbum Dark Night, Sweet Light and too many other releases to list here…
STUDENT: Steele Elleway (aka Corprate Fony)Had original releases on labels Big Mamas House(Germany), Nuit Blanche (Germany), LTHM(US), Data Tech (Germany) and Exclusive Recordings (UK).
TRAINER: George Nicholas (aka Seekae & Cliques)Toured the world with his group Seekae playing their sophomore album ‘The Worry’ (out of Future Classic). As part of duo Cliques, George released the tune Chro on Aquatic Lab and Aut on the Tempa Allstars Vol. 8 compilation. Remixed Maddslinky, Lisa Mitchell, Eugene Ward & DNKL. Mixed / produce for Frontline, Roland Tings, Giselle Rosselli, Savoir, Hugo Frederick & Haliia.
STUDENT: Benedict Carter (aka Bly)Had two of his tracks ’Rosey’ &‘Superfluid’ shortlisted for Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2015 from his duo Bly (with collaborator Oliver Dibley). FBi independent artist of the week – ‘Rosey’ was the 63rd most played song on FBi radio in 2015 – Superfluid was premiered by Pilerats. Spotify Aus/NZ feature artist.
TRAINER: Harley Streten (aka Flume)Collaborated with Liveschool’s recent trainer recruit Kučka on the lead single ‘Smoke & Retribution’. Has been busy touring & producing his sophomore album Skin – listen to a preview stream here. NB. If you haven’t already, check out the free online Ableton Live course that Liveschool, Flume and Future Classic collaborated on here.
STUDENTS: Tom Elliot & Peter Sabbagh (aka Korky Buchek)Released their first EP ‘Faces‘, from which the track ‘Bubbles‘ was picked up and featured on OneLove’s Your Shot compilation, also played gigs across Australia, Asia and New Zealand.
TRAINER: Dave Norris (aka Dizz1) Released his debut album ‘In Sickness & In Health’ on the Tru Thoughts record label, featuring collaborations with Aloe Blacc, O’Mas Keith, Sadat X & many more.
STUDENT: Rupert Howarth (aka Perto)As well as releasing multiple original tracks, Rupert remixed ‘Twisted’ by ‘Uberjak’d’, which was released on Hussle/Ministry of Soundrecords.
TRAINER: Anthony Garvin (Ableton Certified Trainer)Mixed tracks for Human Movement, Sweetland and Piecey. Produced for Mazde, co-wrote withIndian Summer. Setup a analogue studio full of vintage synths & an Neve desk in Alexandria.
TRAINER:Ben Feggans (Mastering Engineer)Mastered releases for Clubfeet, Catlips, Kite String Triangle, World’s End Press, Ngaiire, R.W. Grace, Twin Caverns ,The Double Shadows, Aquila Young & many more.
STUDENT: Sam Sakr (aka SAKR)Has been picked up at part of Sony’s behind-the-scenes songwriting team, as well as helping out with student support at Liveschool.
STUDENT SUPPORT:Josh Molony (aka Setwun / Letabruthaknow)Produced and co-wrote Nick Hill’s debut EPreleased on Yes Please Records. Released new original tunes as Letabruthaknow. Held down the fort here at Liveschool – call us up and you’ll likely get Josh on the other end!
