Studio classroom with workstations used for music production training.

Liveschool is Australia’s longest-running Ableton Certified Training Centre. For over 20 years, we’ve trained thousands of producers in our Surry Hills studio – and now live online from anywhere in the world.

Our courses are built around Ableton Live and developed by a team of Ableton Certified Trainers, world-famous artists, and working producers. Whether you’re opening a DAW for the first time or you’ve been producing for years, we offer pathways and modules designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward.

Every course combines small-group classes with 1:1 mentorship, so you’re never just watching – you’re building your own music with personal guidance from people who do this professionally. And with flexible scheduling between in-studio and online sessions, you can fit training around your life.

Explore our three main course streams below, or browse individual modules if you already know what you want to focus on. Not sure where to start? Our team can help – get in touch for a free course consultation.

The complete production course – from foundational skills through to a fully self-produced, release-ready catalogue. Produce Music is designed for anyone who wants the full journey, whether you’re picking up Ableton for the first time or you’re an experienced producer who wants to close the gaps in your workflow.

Over 12 months part-time (or 6 weeks full-time intensive plus mentoring), you’ll progress through five core modules – Foundations, sound design, music theory, arrangements, and mixing & mastering – each taught by a specialist trainer. You’ll graduate with finished, release-ready tracks and lifetime access to Liveschool’s alumni benefits including ongoing technical support and masterclasses.

Not ready to commit to the full course? Try our Begin module — a low-risk first step that gives you a grounded introduction to Ableton Live and the core workflows for making music. It’s also included as the first lesson in Produce Music, so nothing is wasted if you decide to continue.

For producers who are already writing music – you’ve got multiple solid projects or even full tracks, but you’re struggling to get them across the line to a release-ready standard. The Focus Series sharpens the skills that matter most at this stage: sound design, music theory, arrangements, and mixing and mastering.

At 9 months or less, it’s a more focused commitment for producers who don’t need the foundational modules but want expert guidance and structured mentorship to finish what they’ve started. You’ll build a portfolio of polished, release-ready tracks with 1:1 mentoring from working producers.

The advanced program for producers with release-ready music who want to take the next step – live performance, industry release strategy, vocal production, studio production techniques, and advanced artist workshops.

Launch Series includes Perform Live, Method Lab, Studio Production, Vocal Production, and Release Music. It’s typically taken by Produce Music or Focus Series graduates, but experienced producers with an existing catalogue are welcome. Over 13 months part-time, you’ll develop the skills and connections to move from bedroom producer to performing, releasing artist.
